Mr Ben Campbell

BEN CAMPBELL

MBBS, BMedSci, FRACS (Orth), FAOrthA

Ben is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee surgery. He has a particular interest in hip replacement surgery and in partial and total knee replacement. He also has wide experience in arthroscopic surgery of the knee including ligament reconstruction.

After finishing his medical degree at University of Melbourne, he completed his orthopaedic training in Victoria. He undertook further specialist training with a fellowship in advanced hip and knee arthroplasty and sports injuries at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, UK. This also included working with the developers of the Oxford partial knee replacement and with research teams from Oxford University.

Ben is also involved in developing areas of hip and knee surgery such as hip arthroscopy and anterior approach hip replacement. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.

Ben shares a goal with all of the team at Melbourne Hip and Knee of ensuring not only that patients have the best surgical outcome, but also that their experience throughout their treatment is comfortable and untroubled
